Angeline Rose Livolsi Alterio,
91, of Canonsburg, died at 11:50 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2005, in McMurray Hills Manor. She was born February 1, 1914, in Villa Rosa, Italy, a daughter of John (Giovanni) and Lena Pepe Livolsi. Mrs. Alterio was employed by Canonsburg Pottery for 18 years and then Washington Glass Co. for 14 years as a pottery hand-painter. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and their Christian Mothers. She also belonged to United Women of the Masonic Temple and various bowling leagues in Canonsburg. Mrs. Alterio enjoyed bowling, sewing and knitting.
On September 21, 1931, she married Louis M. Alterio, who died December 21, 1997. Surviving are two sons, Michael J. (Peggy) Alterio and John P. (Jonette) Alterio, both of Canonsburg; seven grandchildren, Michael J. Alterio Jr., Mark Alterio, Michelle Krol, Matthew, Patrick and Nathan Alterio and Anne Klug; five great-grandchildren, Donelle and Amanda Hagenbuch, Anthony Alterio and Jack and Lucy Klug; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Alterio was the last of her immediate family. Deceased are four sisters, Magdacine Livolsi Palilla, Rosaria Livolsi Dino, Lucy Livolsi Encandela and Giacomina Livolsi Alterio; and three brothers, Joseph (Joe), Salvatore and Mario Livolsi.
