I am not sure where Pearl is buried - perhaps in this cemetery. Even though there is a tombstone for Pearl next to her brother, Vivian Beebe, she had it placed on the third and at the time, empty grave without permission. Pearl had the stone placed on one of two remaining empty graves that had been purchased by her brother's widow, Eugenia Wineland-Beebe-Gwilt. Eugenia had purchased four lots. One of the four lots contains the remains of Eugenia's mother, Cora, and the second of the four lots contains the remains of Eugenia's first husband, Vivian Beebe. The other two empty lots were intended for Eugenia with an 'extra' lot if needed. Once Eugenia eventually remarried the 'extra' grave would then be for her second husband, Leonard Gwilt.

In the meantime, however, Pearl may have assumed that when Eugenia and her second husband, Leonard Gwilt moved to New Mexico, they would likely die there and would be buried together in New Mexico, thus making those two remaining graves available for Pearl's use. It would allow Pearl to be buried next to her brother, Vivian.

But, things would not work out that way for Pearl.

Eugenia and Leonard moved back to Michigan for health reasons and when Leonard died he was buried in one of those two remaining lots owned by Eugenia.

Since Pearl had already placed a stone for herself on one of the two remaining/empty graves, that would mean no lot would be available for Eugenia once Eugenia buried her second husband.

This did not sit well with Eugenia and this obviously caused some "discussion" over this situation.

Because Eugenia Wineland-Beebe-Gwilt had the purchase documents and deeds to the four cemetery lots, Eugenia had Pearl's tombstone removed from the burial lot. It was then placed in-between two of grave lots.... Resulting in no plot for Pearl.... so only her grave marker is there without a space for Pearl.

When Eugenia Wineland-Beebe-Gwilt died, she was indeed buried between her two husbands, in the last or the four lots and next to her own mother.

Since there was not a remaining grave for Pearl, Pearl was not buried there. (Although the memorial marker for Pearl still remains between the now occupied graves)

I do not know where Pearl is buried, although likely elsewhere in the Cascade Cemetery. Her burial plot may be in a fifth lot next to the rest of Eugenia's family.
