Ziaya, Norma "Jean" Bay City, Michigan

Mrs. Ziaya passed away Monday, April 6, 2015 at her residence. Age 86 years. She was born October 1, 1928 in Bay City and has resided here all of her life. Jean was an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and a former member of T.O.P.S. She graduated from Bay City Central High School in 1947, enjoyed crocheting, camping and most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. On February 20, 1953 she married her husband of 61 years Stanley R. Ziaya and he is left behind to cherish her memories along with four children and their spouses; Cathy Dowd of Midland, Les and Sandy Ziaya of Lincoln, Michigan, Linda and Eric Berry of Bay City and Nancy and Mark Reed of Bay City, thirteen grandchildren; Kristopher (Joy) Doud, Jeffrey (Ashley) Doud, Lisa (Shaun) Geiger, Kevin (Marysa) Doud, Amy (Michael) Bradford, Alexandrea Ziaya, Jeremiah Ziah, Peter Heagany, Matthew Heagany, Elicia Bell, Delane Bell, Rebecca Reed and Austin Reed, eleven great grandchildren, one special niece; Bonnie Scheddel and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; Albert "Bert" and Winifred "Winnie" (Bacon) Adair, one son-in-law; Patrick Doud, one sister; Leona Bowden and three brothers; LeRoy (Viola) Adair, Louie (Dolores) Adair and Elmer (Marian) Adair. Funeral Services will take place Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church 103 E Midland St, Bay City, MI 48706. Officiating will be The Rev. Dr. George Baird with interment following at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Friday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mrs. Ziaya will be taken to the church on Saturday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
