He is survived by his son, Jim Godfrey and wife Pam of Virginia; grandchildren, Nikki Godfrey of Santa Rosa, Colorado, and Jill Carson of Australia; great-grandchild, Luke Carson; and sister, Annie May Elliott of Odessa.
