Husband of Sarah Sophia (Beebe) Morris (1828-1912). Son of George Morris and Eliza (Eldrige) Morris. James was the father of six children with Sarah including: George G., James Morgan, Leon, Sarah, Abby Jennie and Charles Beebe Morris. James was the brother of Pvt. George Morris (1840-1862) and Sgt. Thomas Morris (1823-1862), two Civil War soldiers who are also buried in this family plot.
