Evelyn Delveaux, 91, Oconto Falls, died Thursday afternoon, December 29, 2022 at Emerald Bay health care facility in Hobart.

The 4th of 7 children was born August 19, 1931 in Oconto Falls to Edward and Mary (Konitzer) Gallas Sr. On January 28, 1950 she married Bernard Delveaux at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Oconto Falls and had 7 children together.

Evelyn worked as a crossing guard for the Oconto Falls School District for over 20 years. As a lifelong member of St. Anthony Parish, she belonged to the Altar Rosary Society and helped with funeral dinners.

Evelyn will be lovingly remembered as putting others needs ahead of her own, an avid gardener who shared her produce and caring for her large family.

Survivors are her seven children, Sandee (Mike) Herrmann; Kathy (Jim) Thielke; Richard Delveaux (special friend Bonnie); Bernie Jr. (Cathy) Delveaux; Pamela (Mark) Valitchka; David Delveaux; Sue Delveaux (special friend Steve); 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; one brother, Edward (Patti) Gallas; one sister-in-law, Delores Gallas; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2008, one brother George Jr., four sisters, infant Marie Gallas, Elaine Schaal, Joanne Kardoskee-Spice and Geraldine Gagnon, three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Visitation will take place after 9:00 AM Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at St. Anthony Catholic Church until the time of service.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at the church with the Rev. Fr. Walter Stumpf officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Delveaux family would like to thank Promedia Hospice for the wonderful care given Evelyn during her time with them.
