Joseph R. "Sonny" Auler Jr., 58, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2015 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne following a sudden illness.
He was born on June 29, 1956 in Anderson to Russell and Betty (Abernathy) Auler. Sonny was a graduate of Alexandria-Monroe High School-Class of 1974 and worked in the construction industry for several years. He was a free spirit and a happy wanderer that loved children and enjoyed time spent with his nieces and nephews. He was an avid fisherman and never minded being a handyman for family and friends. Sonny's warm smile and beautiful blue eyes will be sadly missed and fondly remembered.
