He was born on June 29, 1956 in Anderson to Russell and Betty (Abernathy) Auler. Sonny was a graduate of Alexandria-Monroe High School-Class of 1974 and worked in the construction industry for several years. He was a free spirit and a happy wanderer that loved children and enjoyed time spent with his nieces and nephews. He was an avid fisherman and never minded being a handyman for family and friends. Sonny's warm smile and beautiful blue eyes will be sadly missed and fondly remembered.

Cremation will take place with private family services at the convenience of the family. Service and cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Owens Funeral Home in Alexandria.
