David was born on March 21, 1950 in Crawford County, IL. He was the son of William Fancil and Lillian (Hayes) Fancil. David owned and operated Fancil Trucking and Oil Company for many years. He started with Marathon Oil Company before forming his own company. He was a member of the Crawford County Sheriff’s Association and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and four wheeling. Most of all David enjoyed spending time with his family.
David is survived by his son David Fancil, Jr., Robinson, IL and his daughter and son-in-law Jackie and Jon Utley, Oblong, IL; six grandchildren Bridgett, Alaina, Dominik, LilyAnn, Keaton and Kohen; 3 sisters and a brother-in-law Tammy and Mike Thompson, Robinson, IL, Pam Goss, Calhoun, IL, and Judy Shields, Robinson, IL.; sister-in-law Phyllis Fancil, Hardinville, IL.; brother-in-law Kelly Johnson, Robinson, IL.; his fiance’ of 14 years Anita Sego and her children Brian and Tiana Durr, Springfield, IL, Ryan Rardin, Charleston, IL; along with several nieces and nephew.
Preceding David in death were his parents; two brothers Mike and Jack Fancil; and a sister Catherin Johnson.
