Robert Earl Belk was a son of the late Robert Doyle Belk and Beatrice Tackett Belk of Charlotte, NC. He was married to Pam, and they had 4 children and several grandchildren, all of whom survive him. He was well known throughout this region and beyond for his clear tenor voice and had sung with several quartets, as well as a soloist, for most of his life. Robert sang with The Praisemen, The Songsters, The Pine Ridge Boys, and The Chordsmen Quartets, and as a youngster with his family. He was always a crowd favorite as he sang songs such as The Lighthouse, When He Was On The Cross, Beulah Land, Oh, What a Savior, and others. He was with the Songsters Quartet for about 12 years and later with the Pine Ridge Boys until about 2 years ago when his health failed. He dearly loved music. He was a dear man and will be greatly missed.
