James Arnold “Buddy” Compton, 86, left his earthly home on April 3, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. James was born February 1, 1929 in Honey Grove community of Oklahoma. He was the son of the late Frank James Compton and Thelma Swan Compton.
He was in the US Army and served in World War II.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Helen Glover Compton, his brothers, Lester Carroll Compton, Donald Wayne Compton, Charles William Compton, his brother-in-law, Erwin Underwood, and his sons, James Michael Compton and David Lee Compton.
He is survived by his two sisters. Also, by his nine children; his 14 grandchildren; four great grandchildren. And, by several nieces and nephews.
The service will be at 2:00 pm at White Family Chapel with Rev. Greg Camp officiating. He will be laid to rest at Rockhill Cemetery in Broken Bow, OK.
