Cheryl Ann Serio Carlson, 70, of Texas City, passed away March 31, 2015. Cheryl was born October 24, 1944 to Vincent Samuel and Katherine Serio in Galveston, Texas. She was an administrative assistant for Amoco BP for many years. Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth H. Carlson; sister, Dolores Moor; and a grandson, Matthew Kenneth Stevens.


She is survived by her life partner of 22 years, Brenda Langford; daughters, Suzan Ann Stevens (Mitchell W.) and Cindy Ann Gay (William B.); sister, Vivian Renfrow (Paul); Brother, Samuel Serio (Nina); brother-in-law, Joel Moor, Jr.; Brenda's mother, Joyce Ciranni; grandchildren, Laurel Stevens, Emily Padgett (Justin), Jennifer Stevens, McKenny Gay, Morgan Gay; and two great grandchildren.


A visitation in Cheryl's honor will be held Monday, April 6, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with a rosary at 7:00 pm, Crowder Funeral Home Chapel, Dickinson, Texas. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, April 7, 2015, Crowder Funeral Home Chapel, Dickinson, Texas. Internment follows at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Dickinson, Texas.


Honored to serve as pall bearers are Timothy Moor, Paul Renfrow, Jr., Vincent Serio, and Vann Wood. Honorary pallbearers are Paul Renfrow, Joel Moor, III, and Dave McCalla.


In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
