Evelyn E. (Bywaters) Horn, 89, died Thursday, April 2, 2015, at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Harris S. Horn, who died September 22, 1998. Evelyn was born May 4, 1925, in York, the daughter of the late Edgar and Etta (Racer) Bywaters. Evelyn was a member of West York Church of The Brethren, the Paradise Homemakers, and was a 4-H leader for many years. Evelyn is survived by a son, Ronald H. Horn, Sr. of York; a grandson, Ronald H. Horn, Jr. of Dover; a granddaughter, Oona L. Raffensberger and her husband Anthony of Dover; a great-granddaughter, Grayson E. Raffensberger of Dover; a sister, Doris Bywaters of Phoenix, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Mildred Gerber. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the West York Church of The Brethren, 5101 Darlington Road, York, PA 17408, with the Rev. Greg Jones officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
