Martha was listed as widowed at the time of her death but the certificate does not give the first name of husband Mr. Craig, making it difficult to find their marriage document.

The 1950 census has Martha in Santa Ana, California as Mrs. Martha Craig, separated, and living in a boarding house. Her sister Myrtle Black (1896-1964) was living with her husband about two miles away from her, likewise her brother Charles (1898-1965) was living in a boarding house also about 2 miles from Martha. Somehow Martha wound up living in Oxnard, Ventura County not far from her sister's daughter Thelma Irene Angeles nee Goss (1914-1994) a longtime resident of Oxnard, California.
