Mildred K. Allem, 91, of Palmer Township, PA, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at her home. Born December 5, 1923, in Hatfield, PA, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Ruth Winterbottom Kriebel. Her husband of 52 years, John H. Allem, died March 20, 1995.
Years ago Mildred was a waitress at the former V7 Restaurant. She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting. Mildred was a member of New Creation United Church of Christ, where she was a member of the Diana's Missionary Society and helped with church dinners.
Surviving is a son, John L. Allem and his wife Mary Ann, of Palmer Township; a daughter, Vicki Seifert and her husband Thomas, of Lower Nazareth Township; four grandchildren, Andrew Scott Allem and his wife Yolanda, of Hatboro, PA, Nicole Frick and her husband George, of Forks Township, Matthew Seifert and his wife Jennifer, of Nazareth and Joseph Seifert, of Wind Gap; ten great-grandchildren, Gavin, Jacob, Derek, Gabbie, Maci, Carsyn, Lexie, Tyler, Jarred and Jeffrey; and four nieces. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Janet Hayes.
Private services will be in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton Street, Wilson Borough. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Souderton, PA.
