Services for Alex F Nemeth, 86, of Greenwood Court, who died at 4:15 pm Wednesday in St Joseph's Medical Center, will be at 10 am Monday in Holy Cross Catholic Church, South Bend.
Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, South Bend.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 5-9 pm Sunday at I Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home, South Bend, where a combined rosary will be said at 3 pm by Circle of Mercy, Knights of Columbus Santa Maria Council 553 and Altar Rosary Society of Holy Cross Parish, and a parish wake will take place at 7 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
Mr Nemeth retired in 1971 as a pressman at Petersen Printing Co after 51 years.
He was born February 3, 1906, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.
On June 20, 1931, in South Bend, he married Anne A Vercseg. She survives with two daughters, a son, nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a sister Helen Dobecki of Deming NM.
A son, Michael J, died in 1960.
He was a member of Knights of Columbus Santa Maria Council 553, and charter member of Calvert Rod and Gun Club.
