KING, NC ~ Mrs. Inez Rumley Gordon, 86, of King and Callahan, Fla., the widow of Howard Franklin Gordon, passed away Monday, Dec. 31, 2001, in Callahan, Fla.
She was born in Forsyth County to Jerome Robert and Sallie Carmichael Rumley.
Mrs. Gordon was retired from King Auto Parts.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Larry Arney of Callahan, Fla.; a brother, Roy Jerome "Bill" Rumley of Lexington; three grandchildren; seven great-grand-children; a great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Gordon was preceded in death by three sisters, Edna Rumley Doty, Bernice Rumley Keefer and Patty Carolyn Cameron; and three brothers, Lewis A. Rumley, Reeves A. Rumley and Ralph F. Rumley.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002, at Cox-Needham Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Yates Wilkinson. The family will receive friends before the services from noon to 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Pinnacle United Methodist Church Cemetery.
