Rolland J. Thundershield, Sr., 62, of Little Eagle, SD, entered the Spirit World on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at St. Alexis Hospital in Bismarck, ND
He is survived by five sons: Rolland Thunder Shield, Jr. Blaze Thundershield of Mclaughlin, SD; Ellery Agard of Selfridge, ND., Chante Folson of Gillette, WY., and Austin Folson of Mandan, ND. Eight daughters: Christie Thundershield of Eagle Butte, SD., Josephine Thundershield, Vivian Chasing Hawk and Lenore Spotted Horse of McLaughlin, SD., Nadine Yellow of Mobridge, SD, Anetha Thundershield and Amy Thundershield of Bismarck, ND, and Ayla Thundershield of Bowman, ND. Two brothers: Fred Thundershield of Mitchell, SD, and Willard Male Bear of Minneapolis, MN. 54 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A one night wake begins at 7:00 PM (CST) Friday, March 6, 2015 at the Little Eagle Blue Gym, Little Eagle, SD. A Veteran’s funeral honoring procession to Little Eagle will begin at the BIA Road 10. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM (CST), Saturday, February 7, at the Little Eagle Blue Gym, with Episcopal Lay Reader Bea Skinner and other lay readers officiating. After services a lunch will be served. Interment with full military rites take place at the Thundershield Family Cemetery, near Little Eagle.
