Funeral services for Joe Elbert, late of 1217 SE Spokane St., will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Peake Memorial Chapel, Milwaukie. Mr. Elbert died Dec. 22 at a Portland nursing home following an illness of one month.
Mr. Elbert was born in The Netherlands April 8, 1876, and lived in Wisconsin and Illinois from 1909 to 1918. He had lived in Portland since then, and at the time of his death was a retired boilermaker.
Survivors are his widow, Berendina; a daughter, Berendina Verhagn, of Salem; two grandchildren and Six great-grandchildren. Interment will be at Riverview cemetery.
