Mr. Elbert was born in The Netherlands April 8, 1876, and lived in Wisconsin and Illinois from 1909 to 1918. He had lived in Portland since then, and at the time of his death was a retired boilermaker.
Survivors are his widow, Berendina; a daughter, Berendina Verhagn, of Salem; two grandchildren and Six great-grandchildren. Interment will be at Riverview cemetery.
