She was the wife of Earl Skiles, with whom she celebrated 60 years of marriage on Sept. 24.
She was born in Palo Pinto, Texas, daughter of the late Ernest and Maggie Terry Hight.
She was a graduate of Stram High School, Stram, Texas.
In the past she was a member of Limeville Methodist Church of Gap.
Iris had worked as an attendant at the Blue Spot Laundry.
She enjoyed bingo and going to casinos.
Surviving besides her husband are three children, Jeffrey, husband of Lisa Skiles, Mark, husband of Krista Skiles, and Lisa, wife of Rusty Hornberger, all of Kinzers; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Forsythe, and nine siblings.
Interment will take place in the Kinzer Mennonite Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
