Elisabeth Chason Truluck was born in 1820 in Emanuel County, Georgia, USA. She died about 1895-1900 in Starke, Precinct 6, Bradford County, Florida, USA. She was the daughter of John T. Chason, born about 1780,in Cumberland, North Carolina, and Elizabeth Mims Chason, born about 1780 in Georgia.

Elisabeth married Joseph Truluck December 21, 1838 in Decatur County, Georgia, USA.

On November 1, 1850, Elisabeth lived with her husband and children in the Thomasville District, Duval County, Florida. The Thomasville District was located in the Waller/Belmore area, which also later became known as Clay County. (Census microfilm # 432-58; line 25, pg. 117b; 115 text.)

On November 13, 1850, Elisabeth became a member of Beulah Missionary Baptist Church. She came by letter. She was one of the founding members of the church, along with her husband. This information can be found in, "Beulah Baptist Church Minute Books", and in, "A History of Beulah Baptist Church, 1850-2000, Clay County, Florida, page 6.

On April 1, 1854, Elisabeth was living with her husband and children in Kingsley Lake, Clay, Florida. This can be found in, "Parade of Memories: A History of Clay County, Florida", Clay County Bicentennial Steering Committee, 1976, page 271.

On August 16, 1860, Elisabeth was 40 years old and living in Middleburg, Clay County, Florida. In the census her home was the 199th to be visited and the 199th family to be visited by the census taker, line 2. She is listed as 40 years old, born in Georgia, and living with her husband and children. Joseph and her children were listed at that time as, Elisabeth, John, Eliza, Louisa, Julia, Mary Ann, Christy, Josephine, and Edward.

On June 19,1880, Elisabeth was 60 years old and living in Starke, Bradford County, Florida. Her and Joseph were still living with some of their children, which were Edward, Martha, and Mary Ann. At this time, they were still traveling to the Thomasville District in Belmore to attend church services at Beulah Missionary Baptist Church. (Census Bradford Co. Fl., Precinct 6, house # 21, family # 22, line 6, Joseph line 5.)

In 1885 she lived in Starke, Precinct 6, Bradford, Florida.

On May 12, 1894 her son Edward, after a prolonged sickness, verbally stated his last Will and Testament, giving his mother Elizabeth everything that he owned. Witnesses to this fact were his sisters Mary C. Mangum, Eliza Moore, and Julia Knight. Edward died the 19th of May.

Elisabeth died in February 1899 in Starke, Bradford, Florida. The Will of Elizabeth Truluck was probated in the Bradford County Court house on February 20, 1899. Both her and Joseph were buried at Beulah Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, due to the fact it was their home church and they were founding members there. Their names are also listed on a reference book of Camp Blanding's and on the list of those buried there online. Furthermore, their descendants that have maintained residency in Middleburg and Belmore, know of this through personal knowledge.
