George Alexander Bean Jr was born on May 1, 1850 in Tennessee, and he was the son of George Alexander "Alex" Bean Sr (ca 1826–30 Dec 1876) and Amanda I (Sloan) Bean (1834–1912). {The obituary for George Sr was in THE TENNESSEAN on December 31, 1876, but it did not include where he was buried.}
George Jr married Mary L Nabors (1859–1941) on November 3, 1875 in Cheatham County, Tennessee, and she was the daughter of Burton Nabors (1830–1889) and Martha A (Binkley) Nabors (1828–1904).
A carpenter living at 1219 7th Avenue North, Nashville, George was 80 years old when he died at home of a cerebral hemorrhage on September 4, 1930. Burial was the next day in Spring Hill Cemetery.
