She was the daughter of Joel Patrick and Elizabeth (Grady) Hammond.
She married Samuel H. Brown Sr., on Jan. 6, 1844, in Chambers County, Alabama.
They were the parents of Sarah J, Mastin Nathaniel, John W, Unity Penada "Mittie," Samuel H Jr, Emma Frances, William T, James Dickerson, T.A., and Samuel Henry Brown.
The couple had a child named Samuel H Brown Jr who died as a young boy. They later reused the name and named their youngest son Samuel Henry Brown.
Her date of death has yet to be established. She was living in Chapel Hill, Chambers County, Alabama on the 1880 Federal Census, but died sometime before 1900.
