He was born January 28, 1948 at Cape Girardeau, MO, a son of Gail Emmons Schleinger Fletcher of Cape Girardeau, MO and the late J. D. Schleinger.
Mr. Schleinger was retired from the United States Army where he served for 20 years and 6 months. He served two tours in Vietnam where he was wounded in action and awarded a Purple Heart. He was a baptist by faith. After retiring from the military he worked in the construction and carpentry business.
Surviving are his wife; one son, one daughter, one brother, four sisters, and four grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 7-9 PM Saturday. In observance of Easter there will be no visitation on Sunday. Funeral will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Monday with the Evangelist Michael Reese officiating. Interment will follow in the Yost Cemetery near Hundred.
