Carl LaMar Jones, 84, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015, at home from natural causes. He was born February 15, 1931, in Preston, Idaho. Graduated from Preston High School, and attended Nampa Business School.

He began his career with Union Pacific Railroad, then was inducted in 1952 with the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1960. He returned to work as a telegrapher clerk and spent most of his career as an agent in Ashton, Idaho, retiring in 1994.

He married Valene Pearson in the Logan Temple in 1954. He is survived by his dear wife and four children, Lynnette Niendorf, Valerie Gutierrez, Kimber (Shelley) Jones, Blair (Carol) Jones, 20 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, two Sisters Colleen Martin, and Geri Niederhauser.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and held several positions throughout his lifetime. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed, sudoku, computers, gardening, hunting, fishing, and boating.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 31, at the Rexburg Center Stake Center, 590 Summerwood Drive. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and Tuesday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the stake center. Interment will be in the Rexburg Cemetery.
