A mother of three who was murdered, along with her two sons, in their Pampa home late New Year's Eve 1993. Her youngest child, a daughter named Lisa, was staying with relatives and spared the violent attack. Twila's live-in boyfriend was convicted of the murders, though he maintains his innocence.

Twila's two sons, Randy Busby and Elwin "Scooter" Caler, were reportedly mentally disabled. Other than that, nothing is written about her that doesn't concern the details surrounding her death. I find it sad that the life of this woman, who was raising her three children and who was described by her daughter in a television interview as "very nice" and "never had a bad word to say about anybody," has been reduced to this one event from her 41 years on this earth.

Update, Nov 2012: I was contacted by Twila's best friend, Judy, who said of her, "Twila loved life and loved living. She laughed lots and shared her happiness with everyone she was around... She is missed everyday by me and her surviving family."
