Obituary:
Francis A. Hoagland, age 86, died at his home Tuesday night. He was buried today in the IOOF Cemetery.
Mr. Hoagland was born at New Bedford, Pennsylvania. At the age of five, he went with his parents to Viola, Illinois, where he spent the early years of his life and from which place he enlisted in the 30th regiment, Illinois Volunteer Infantry, in the Civil War. After the war he returned to Illinois and was married to Jane A. Storey on September 21, 1881.

Besides his widow, Mr. Hoagland leaves two sons, Benjamin H. Hoagland, Spokane, and Myles H. Hoagland, Latah, and two daughters, Mrs. Blanch Melton, Waverly, and Mrs. Myrtle Bromley, Latah.
