Virgil Edward Hanson, 91, of Westwood Hills, KS, passed away December 2, 2005, at the Trinity Nursing and Rehab. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 6, 2005, at Westwood Christian Church. Burial will be in Leavenworth National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Monday, at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Westwood Christian Church, Westwood, KS. Mr. Hanson was born November 30, 1914, in Vilas, KS, to John Edward and Gertrude Herrin Hanson. Virgil had lived in the Kansas City area for most of his life. He was the Owner/Operator of The Cash Register Service Company for nearly 60 years. Virgil was a member of the Westwood Christian Church and was an Army WWII Veteran. Virgil was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Mary C. Hanson in 1994. Survivors include sons: Ronald (Martha) Hanson, John Hanson, Gregory Hanson, and Robert Hanson; grandson, Jeff Hanson; 3 stepgrandchildren, Steve Aduddell, Rick Aduddell and Janie Vogt; and 4 stepgreat-grandchildren.
