Rev. William Wilbur Blansit, age 88, of Nixa, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2015. He was born May 24, 1926 at Chestnutridge, the son of Johnny and Martha (Gideon) Blansit. On April 18, 1946 he and Margie Ruth Mabe were united in marriage.
Throughout his long career in the ministry Rev. Blansit was pastor of Oakridge Full Gospel Church at Walnut Shade for six years and Nixa First Assembly for thirty years. Wilbur and his brother, Earl, owned Blansit Auction Business from 1950 until 1958.
Survivors include: A son, Don Blansit and wife Marquita; and their children, Chad Blansit and wife Tosha; and RaChelle Iles and husband Jason; a son, Jack Blansit and wife Nancy; and their children, Brock Blansit and wife Danelle; Todd Blansit and wife Tiffany; Ryan Blansit and wife Sarah; and Brooke Fasnacht and husband Justin; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie in 2012, five brothers, and a sister.
Burial at Highlandville Cemetery.
