In Memory.
'Tis with sadness we note the death of our beloved Grandma Mrs. Elizabeth Howard, which occurred on the night of Feb. 19, 1908 at the home of her son, Mr. J. H. Howard, after a few days' illness. She has passed to her eternal rest. She was 90 years and 6 months of age. She was born and reared in Montgomery County, Ala. She was married to Mr. Harley W. Howard, of this county, in the year of 1837. To this union were born ten children.
We know she will be greatly missed. She assured her loved ones that she was ready and waiting the Lord's calling to summons her home. She was patient and submissive to her sufferings. She was a devoted wife and mother. She united with the Primitive Baptist Church at Providence in Lee County about 60 years ago.
She leaves 3 sons, 2 daughters, several grandchildren, a host of relatives and friends to mourn her departure. But our loss is her eternal gain.
May the Lord comfort the bereaved family, is our prayer. Her remains were interred in Harmony Cemetery, services being conducted by Rev. Cregg.
