John E. Ahern, 60, of 178 Mitchell Street, Manchester, died yesterday at the Veterans Administration Medical Center after a long illness. He was born in Concord and lived in Manchester for 30 years.
He leaves his wife Dolores (Silva) Ahern; two sons; a daughter; seven grandchildren; sister Lily Benton of Concord; brother William Ahern of Concord; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the McHugh Funeral Home, 483 Beech Street, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Calling hours will be tomorrow from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
