Mrs. William Sergeant
Mrs. Abba J. (Buckley) Sergeant, widow of the late William Sergeant, who lived for many years at No. 1605 Main street, died today at No. 280 Main street, Hartford, where she had been living for the past five years since the death of her daughter, Mrs. Howard S. Pitkin. Mrs. Sergeant had been in good health until about one month ago, and had been confined to her room during the past two weeks. She was 81 years old and was born in Rocky Hill, the daughter of the late Prescott Buckley. Mrs. Sergeant was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and of the Double Ten Circle of King's Daughters. The funeral will be held at the undertaking rooms of James A. Whitney, No. 1,125 Main street, Friday morning at 11 o'clock. Rev. James W. Lord, curate of St. John's Church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Center Cemetery. She leaves one sister, Mrs. C. H. Bassett of Meriden, and one niece, Mrs. Della Brown of Hartford.
