Mrs. David retired in December 1994 as manager of the former Thrift Shop in Lafayette, working there 27 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of West Lafayette, where she was honored as the lay person in 1994, and given the Rose Award for dedicated service in 1995. She also was a member of Business and Professional Women's Club, and was member and past president of Edgewood Club.
Surviving is one son, Melvin David (wife Ruby) of Indianapolis; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
