Louise was an equestrian and spent much of her adult life in northwest Oregon where she trained thoroughbred horses. She returned to the family homestead near Murray to care for her mother who passed away in 1982. She enjoyed working with farm animals, cow dogs, gardening and painting.
At time of death she was survived by one sister, Eula "Polly" Hamilton.
