Edward James Iseminger, of Gilbertsville, beloved Husband, Father and Stepfather, died Saturday, March 21, 2015, at his home; he was 84.

"Ed" was larger than life and revered by all who knew him. Ed and Pat moved to Gilbertsville 34 years ago, where they built their home and life together.
He retired from the National Cash Register Corporation after working 41 years as a Field Engineer. He was a member of St. Matthew by the Lake Lutheran Church of Benton. Ed volunteered with the Coast Guard Auxiliary, performing safety patrols on Kentucky Lake. He also served as a Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts from 1967-1974. Eight of the Boy Scouts he led achieved the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout. He was an avid traveler, and had many amazing adventures touring the country state by state in his camper.

He is survived by his wife Patricia of Gilbertsville, his daughters Diane O’Brien (Alan) of Lugoff, South Carolina; Linda Iseminger of Stuart, Florida, his son, Douglas Iseminger of Jacksonville, Florida; stepson’s, Greg Garced of Austin, Texas, Frank Garced of Lutz, Florida and Adam Wooley (Mechelle) of Fort Worth, Texas; brother, Ronald Iseminger (Margaret) of Denver, Colorado and sister, Doris Iseminger of Auburn, Washington. Ed has nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren with another on the way.

He is preceded in death by his parents Byron and Vera; his brother Leonard and his stepdaughter, Denise Garced.
