Helen Ann Bendele Boehme of Castroville, Texas, born June 10, 1932, passed away March 20, 2015 at the age of 82. She was called home to the Lord to join her parents Armin and Dorothy Bendele and her sister Dorothy Jean Boehme. Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Helen graduated from Devine High School. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, American Legion Weiss-Wurzbach Post 460 Ladies Auxiliary and Castroville Colonies Heritage Association. For many years, Helen was a Eucharistic Minister for the homebound of St. Louis parish. Among her many accomplishments she was recently honored by the Castroville Public Library as a founding member from 1962-2012. For many years she operated Helen’s Flower Shop. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Castroville. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 23, 2015 at St. Louis Catholic Church. Interment will follow the Mass at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to either Friends of the Castroville Public Library or St. Louis Catholic Cemetery.
