Phillip Albert Pruss, Sr., 88, of North Little Rock passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015. He was a retired Carmen from Union Pacific Railroad with 47 years of service. Phillip was a World War II Navy veteran serving in six invasions in the Pacific Theater on the USS Leedstown. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Rosary Sodality, Men’s Club, lifelong usher, served on IHM Parish Council and was recording secretary for Brotherhood Railway Carmen of America.
He is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Mary Pruss, Philip, Jr. and Felicia Pruss all of Marche; three daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and Gary Strack of Conway, Elenora and Jim Sheldon, Mary and Jim Ditzig; two brothers, Steven Pruss (Meta) and Daniel Pruss, Sr. (Anna) all of Marche; special friend, Florence Szparaga; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Mary Seredynski Pruss; daughter, Leona Marie Pruss; two sisters, Dorothy Zakrzewski and Frances Masty; parents, Vincent and Josephine Strozyk Pruss.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery.
