JAMES F. DEMOSS

MONTICELLO — James F. DeMoss, 81, of 1105 Grace Court, died at 4:03 a.m. today in Monticello Healthcare Center.

Born Sept. 10, 1909, in White County, he was the son of William W. and Lena M. Saltwell DeMoss. On Dec. 27, 1931, he was married in Winamac to Louise A. Wocknitz, who survives.

A lifelong resident of White County, he had lived in Wolcott prior to moving to Monticello in 1948. In 1952, he retired from farming. He then worked 13 years for Kenney Implement Company prior to working another 13 years for White County REMC, retiring in 1983.

He was a member of United Methodist Church in Reynolds.

Also surviving are one son, Fred D., Winter Garden, Fla.; one daughter, Margie Meents, Monticello; one brother, Robert R., Wolcott; one sister Edyth Caouette, Mishawaka; four grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.

One granddaughter, one brother and two sisters preceded in death.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Miller Voorhis Funeral Home, with the Rev. John T. Bell officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
