WARDWELL, LAURA M.
(12 Nov 1925, Thursday, Texola Tribune, Texola, Beckham Co, OK):
Mrs. A. M. Wardwell, while out in the garden doing some work of taking care of some peas that had lately been threshed, dropped dead last Tuesday morning at 11:30. She was known to have suffered a great deal with heart trouble and her sudden death was attributed to this cause.
She was apparently in good health at the time of her sudden death. She leaves a husband and a family of eight children to mourn her death. The children range in age from three months to nineteen years. The family moved to the River view community northeast of Texola last spring.
Dr. Merrel of this city was called to the Wardwell home soon after Mrs. Wardwell was stricken to wait upon her aged mother, Mrs. N. E. Barker, who suffered a nervous break-down from the shock caused by the death of her daughter.
