Numerous friends and relatives of the late A. Hurford accompanied the body to the Erick cemetery where interment was made at 4 o'clock p.m. Wednesday.
Mr. Hurford is survived by a wife and nine children, one daughter having gone before him to the city of the dead. The surviving children, all of whom were present at the funeral are: Naomi, Cecil, Barnie, Jewel and Leonard Hurford of Erick, Mrs. Lucy Anderson, Mrs. Emma Burton, Mrs. Thurmond Case and Arthur Hurford, all of Mills, New Mexico.
Mr. Hurford came here in 1900 from Texas. He was born in 1873 and was 49 years of age.
We have lost an honest upright man, who was a faithful husband and father, loved by all who knew him. We never saw him without a smile for everyone.
