Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their words do follow them." ( Revelation 14:13). Florence Jones Boedeker was a true servant of God and faithfully served her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with all her heart, soul, and mind and went to live with Him for eternity on March 12, 2015.

Florence was born on November 20, 1927, in Eagle Pass, Texas, to Thomas Ralph and Annis Grimmer Jones.

She graduated from Eagle Pass High School in 1944 and the University of Texas in 1948.

She was an elementary teacher in San Angelo for many years, retiring in 1982, only to start a second career in nursing in 1983.

Florence was an active member of Victory Christian Fellowship, the Tom Green Republican Women, a volunteer at the Pregnancy Crisis Center, and a member of several prayer and Bible study groups. She actively prayed without ceasing for those she loved.

Florence is survived by her son Carl (Doby) and wife Kay of Midland and six grandchildren - Erin Contreras and husband Mike of San Angelo, Cody Larimore and wife Mollie of San Angelo, Mara Dolan and husband Gene of Midland, Adam Boedeker and wife Maureen of Corinth, Lindsey Nelson and husband Jeremy of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Melissa Boedeker and fiance Steven Lichlyter of Houston. Also surviving is one sister, Gwendolyn Campbell of Allen.

Florence was blessed with 11 great-grandchildren - Taylor, Madison, Noah, and Luke Contreras, Landon Larimore, Faith, Ava Claire, and Rob Dolan, Clare Boedeker, and Skylar and Stone Nelson. She is also survived by three nieces and three nephews.

Gran will be greatly missed by her family who loved her deeply, but we rejoice that she is with Jesus and reunited with her beloved children.
