OBITUARY OF OPAL CURL

MOUNT PLEASANT -- Funeral Services were October 30 in the Mount Pleasant First L.D.S. Ward Chapel for Opal Marie Knapp CURL, 71, who died October 27, 1993, in Riverside, California.

She was born July 01, 1922, in Marion, Ohio, to Isaac and Mary Etta Newell KNAPP. She married William Eugene CURL October 11, 1940, in Greenup, Kentucky. The marriage was solemnized July 08, 1967, in the Los Angeles L.D.S. Temple.

She was a homemaker and an active member of the L.D.S. Church serving in many callings and in the scouting program. She was a hospital volunteer for many years. She avidly worked on genealogy. She enjoyed working in the PTA and loved caring for her home and family.

Survivors include her husband of Riverside, California; children: William E., Jr., Los Angeles, California; Ronald L. and John R., Riverside, California; and Mrs. Richard (Diane) GILLINS, Mount Pleasant; brother: Isaac KNAPP, Galion, Ohio; twenty-seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Interment was in Mount Pleasant City Cemetery under the direction of Ursenbach Funeral Home.
