Carl E. Brown - RICHMOND HILL/MIDWAY - Carl E. Brown, 92, event home to his glory with God on Friday, January 23, 2009. He was a member and faithful servant at Midway United Methodist Church. He sang in the choir many years, served on the Trustees Board in a number of capacities, a member of Alpha Sunday School Class and the Men's club.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 70 years Vera. He was born in Bulloch County to parents Alzada and Ben Brown who along with brothers Ben, Jr. and Bill; sisters Alma Eldeman and Grace Williams preceded him in death.
Surviving are his sons Morris (Vikki) and Olan (Jane); grandchildren, Michelle Self, Deborah Devall, Adria Holland and Wesley Brown (Valerie), ten great-grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be 5-7:00 p.m., Monday, January 26, 2009 at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at Midway United Methodist Church and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
