The Pleasant Pickett Papers (1819-1933) consists largely of Pickett family financial records, including state tax receipts, receipts of purchased goods, and doctors’ receipts. Also included are photographs, records documenting significant family events, and miscellaneous published texts that either belonged to Pickett family members or were published by a North Carolina organization. Records pertain to Pleasant Pickett, as well as to his wife Mary Pickett (née Marcom or Markham), his son Alphonzo Pickett, and Alphonzo’s wife Cora Pickett (née Vickers).
