A native of Wyoming County, Mrs. Kays was a daughter of the late David [Davis]W. and Helen J. Brown Bush. She had resided in Stroudsburg the past 14 years. Prior to that she had been a resident of East Stroudsburg.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, charter member of E. M. Waller's Bible class, member of Missionary Society and the Ladies' Aid of that church. She was also a charter member of Daughters of Liberty.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. John S. Fisher, and Miss Grace Hardenstine; two sons, Fred Hardenstine, Tannersville, and David Hardenstine, Jersey City.
Funeral services will be held in William H. Clark funeral home, Stroudsburg at 2 p.m. Friday. Rev. William F. Wunder, Grace church, will officiate. Interment will be made in Prospect cemetery. Friends may call at the Clark funeral home after 7 p.m. Thursday.
