• John Wesley Wedding died Oct 5*, in his eighty-third year, at his home on North First Street. A gradual breaking down due to old age led to his death.
• He was an old settler of Bureau county, an army veteran, and a member of the G.A.R.
• He leaves a wife and a large family of sons and daughters to survive him. Funeral took place Sunday, from the house to Oakland cemetery.
