Ernest O. Caron October 26, 1914 - July 28, 2014

Ernest O. Caron, 99, of Weeki Wachee, Florida, a native and longtime Nashua resident, died at his home, Monday morning, July 28, 2014 after a brief illness. Born in Nashua on October 26, 1914, he was a son of the late Ernest and Roseanna (Nault) Caron.

Educated in local schools, Mr. Caron had been employed as a machine operator with Nashua Corporation for many years. In his leisure time, Ernie loved the outdoors and building wooden bird houses. He will be lovingly remembered as a devoted husband and father; who especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. “Ernie” was the husband of the late Agnes B. (Lavarnway) Caron, who died December 15, 2007. They had shared 63 years together.

One of ten children, Mr. Caron was predeceased by six brothers, Valmor, Robert, Laurent, Albert, Armand and Leo Caron; two sisters, Rhea Desautels and Anita E. Moussette; daughter-in-law, Denise (Caron) Caron; and a grandson Wally. Members of his family include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard P. Caron of Weeki Wachee, FL and Russell E. and Jo-Ann Caron of Belleview, FL; six grandchildren, Christine Caron and her husband William Sirois, Kimberley Anctil and her husband Paul, Michelle Sandgren and her husband Paul, Jason Caron, Michael Caron and Matthew Caron and his wife Coreen; nine great-grandchildren, Christopher, Torri, Jordan, Kira, Andrew, Nicholas, Alyssa, Ryan and Melissa; and great-great-granddaughter Aaliyah; a sister and brother-in-law, Cecile and Robert Kilmon of Nashua; also many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua, on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. His funeral service will be held in the funeral home, Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m. followed by interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.
