Pvt. Ralph Harold Aaron, 158th Aero Squadron, survived the torpedoing & sinking of the troopship "Tuscania" on 5 February 1918 in the North Channel between Scotland & Ireland by German submarine UB-77.

He returned from World War I aboard the "Mexican" in February 1919 as a chauffeur in the 158th Aero Squadron.

On both voyages, he listed his father, David M. Aaron, Arlington, South Dakota, as his next-of-kin.
