Sarah, daughter of Col. Lawrence Taliaferro, first married Capt. Francis Dade, on March 13th, 1782. After Francis Dade died, in 1791, she married (Nov. 6th, 1792) a cousin of Francis, William Dade, who was a son of Horatio Dade and Mary (Stuart) Massey. After Sarah died, William Dade moved to Owensboro, KY, later in life, with his step-son's family (family of Lawrence Taliaferro Dade).
