Luella Belle Sullivan was born June 23, 1863 in Carroll County, Missouri, the youngest child of James M Sullivan of Saline County, Missouri and his wife, Rosanna J. Hibler Sullivan.
The James Sullivan family moved to Kansas and his nephew, Eugene Bascomb Sullivan joined the family. Eugene B. Sullivan and Luella Belle Sullivan were married on October 25, 1876 in Chetopa, kansas.
Eugene and Luella Belle Sullivan and baby, Bernard Littleton Sullivan. joined a wagon train and headed west in 1879, settling in the Big Creek area of Eastern Oregon, Baker County. Luella Belle Sullivan died there on September 12, 1879 soon after their arrival She is buried in the Big Creek Cemetery near the lower end of the Cemetery. The wooden marker is now gone and the grave is unmarked.
