Born in Lock Haven on February 11, 1936, he was the son of the late Paul and Mary Moore Fye.
Ronald graduated from Lock Haven High School in 1963.
On November 27, 1968, he married the former Carol Darby in Lock Haven.
Over the years Ronald worked at Hammermill Paper Co., Piper Aircraft Corp., and American Color and Chemical before retiring from Champion Parts Rebuilders in 1992.
Ronald enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his wife, Carol, he is survived by two sons: Ronald J. (Deb) Fye of Deluth, MN and Matthew Fye of Lock Haven; three daughters: Robin (John) Lyons of Howard, Roxanne (Bill) Schreffer of Howard, and Ranae (Mark) Watts of Duboistown; three brothers: Paul (Jean) Fye of Lock Haven, William (Janice) Fye of Lock Haven, and Larry (Pat) Fye of Texas; two sisters: Barbara (Dick) Lair of Texas and Beverly Marcaccio of Lock Haven; nineteen grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Ronald was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda Fye.
Friends will be received on Monday, October 14, 2013 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at Schenk’s Cemetery.
